 2009 Team Underwires Proud To Wear Pink! Ride was a huge success.  579 motorcycles, 736 riders and a few automobiles traveled the decorated 90-mile route.  The route decorators outdid themselves and made sure the turn signs were adorned with bras, balloons, brooms even a few pink flamingo’s popped up to make sure everyone was headed in the right direction.   

We had five great stops this year and are grateful to the people that welcomed the rumble of motorcycles and the camaraderie of the riders.  Special thanks to all the great volunteers that helped at each location.  We appreciate your continued support! 

Stop one: Gary and Beth Milnes farm. The Morrison Boosters cooked pork chop sandwiches and hot dogs 

Stop two:  Albany Fire Department.  The Hartzell/Reaver clan popped popcorn and Little Miss Sparkler assisted. 

Stop three:  St. Ambrose Catholic Church. St. Ambrose Youth Group served Culver’s custard while Terry Meiners and Father Francis did bike blessings. 

Stop four:  Prophetstown State Park.  The Bunko Beauties served trail mix and raised money with their bean bag toss contest. 

Our final stop:  Deer Valley Golf Club.  Live music by Merlin, Cuzband, and Time Bandits with sound provided by Bogo Productions.  Chicken dinners by Candlelight Inn.  Live and Silent auctions and the announcement of the winners of the 3 large raffle items: 

The Harley was won by ticket #274 Tom Schwab

The Yamaha was won by ticket #597 Rick Quaco

The Scooter was won by ticket #770 Nancy Mitchell
